They really do a good job with the food presentation. What I had however was a bit too oily and taste was average. Others in my party had a more favourable experience: Sampled some cakes from the afternoon tea set, and honestly it was a mixed bag. Some were good, and others just wasn’t to my liking. The aesthetics are of course nice, however it did feel a bit stuffy and dated. Like the decoration could use a bit of sprucing up. But it’s a nice and cosy cafe to just chill with friends. For the prices, I wouldn’t necessarily come back specifically for the food.
I finally got to visit Fait Maison in Katara, a place I’ve always been curious about. This cafe originally started in London and interestingly its only overseas branch is right here in Qatar.
From the upstairs, you get an amazing view of Katara Beach.
Since it was a bit dark upstairs, I chose to sit on the ground floor and tried their Saffron Milk. There are only a few cafes that offer this drink on the menu so it was a nice surprise. It had a light and refreshing taste but you could still enjoy the rich flavor of saffron really gentle on the stomach.
They also have private rooms so it’s a perfect spot if you’re coming with a group.
The interior is beautifully decorated with afternoon tea displays and cakes, which gives you that exciting “tea party” feeling just by being there.
They also had a great variety of cakes and pastries lined up in the display window.
Absolutely charming experience at Fait la Maison in Katara!
This place is like stepping into a real-life dollhouse so beautifully decorated and full of charm. The food is absolutely delicious, but what truly makes me return again and again is the kindness and warmth of the staff. Everyone is outstanding.
A special shoutout to Walid, who was a wonderful host during our last visit, and to Khaled, who always makes us feel at home. When my mom came to visit me in Qatar, Khaled was incredible with her, and thanks to that experience, I recommended the place to my friends for a birthday celebration afterward.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, amazing service, and a magical atmosphere!
The food , place , decor , atmosphere and service was amazing. The waitresses serving us were so friendly and helpful. We went there as a group of friends to have breakfast and we loved it . I love the location just infront of the beach 👌🏻.
It was a really good experience, I took some appetizers and cakes with fruit juice and a fruity tea (I don't remember the berries of my tea but it was delicious).
